Marbled Front Door:  I started this project in about 2019, and didn't get it finished until the end of 2023!  My projects always take like 5 times longer than I ever expect them to because I'm too picky; so I get bored partway through, and that makes it take longer than ever.  But I finally got it finished.  


It is totally made out of cedar wood.

It was hard work to tear out the ghastly old door that had been there for 80 years:

I had to take out and totally rebuild the whole door frame, inside and out, plus all the molding around it on both sides.
That took a lot longer than making the door itself:

I had to put the outside edges of the new door in place on the hinges just to make sure it would fit into the old door opening.  Of course it didn't.  Nothing on these old houses is square after 80 years.

I took it off the hinges, glued in the marbled panels and the metal parts, then hung it again.  It took a couple more days of work to make it open and close properly.
